HELP & INFORMATION

A safer property search

A few checks before you agree, share documents or make a payment.

Updated: 19 September 2026

Check the person and the property

Ask for a name and reliable contact details. Check who owns the property and whether the advertiser is authorised to act. View the property in person where possible. Photos and a published listing are not proof of ownership or identity.

Take your time before paying

Be cautious about unusually low prices, pressure to pay immediately and explanations that prevent a viewing. Do not pay a deposit based only on messages or photos. Check the recipient, relevant documents and written terms before transferring money.

Protect your information and account

Do not send identity documents, card details, access codes or passwords to strangers. Check the website address before signing in. Avoid suspicious links and attachments. Property Finder does not request banking codes through listings or hold money for property reservations.

Put the agreement in writing

Record the price, deadlines, responsibilities, cancellation terms and deposit refund conditions. Seek appropriate professional help to check ownership, contracts or complex issues. Keep messages, agreements and receipts.

Report a suspicious listing

Send the listing link and your concerns to hello@propertyfinder.ba, or use the Report listing link beside the property. Share only the personal information needed. If you have experienced fraud, contact your bank and the relevant authorities promptly. The platform is not an emergency service.

Limits of verification

We do not guarantee listing accuracy, advertisers’ identity or property ownership. These tips can help you assess risk but cannot eliminate it.
